Summer New Mexico Camp 2022

Eaglets travelled to a Native American reservation in New Mexico to run a three-day camp, free of charge, for more than 30 students in grades 4 through 6. Students worked with Arduino kits and learned the basics of electrical engineering and programming.

This is the clearest example of what the program is actually for. The organization’s own description of its mission puts it plainly: reaching students from all backgrounds, especially those who are financially challenged. Getting kits and instructors to a community several states away, at no cost to the students, is what that commitment costs in practice.
