What this page covers

This page is about the website you are reading right now. Registering for a camp, hosting a program, sponsoring, or volunteering are separate arrangements, and each one is governed by whatever the host school or organization asks you to sign, not by this page.

Using the site

You are welcome here. Read anything, print anything, link to any page, share it with a colleague. You do not need an account, because there are none, and nothing here asks you to log in, pay, or upload a file.

The only things we ask you not to do are the obvious ones: do not try to break the site or the server it sits on, do not scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people, and do not republish it in a way that suggests Eaglets wrote, endorsed, or checked something we did not.

Using our material

Teachers, librarians, and volunteers reuse this material, and that is the point of publishing it. Here is the honest state of things:

• In your own classroom or program, go ahead. Print the curriculum, adapt a lesson to your students, run a build session from the tutorials. You do not need to ask us first, and you do not owe us anything.
• For anything wider, ask. Republishing our material on another site, packaging it into something you sell, or presenting it as your own organization's program is a different thing, and we would like to hear from you first. Email eaglets.kits@gmail.com. We are not precious about it.
• The Eaglets name and logo are ours. Please do not use them to imply that a program, product, or event is run by or affiliated with Eaglets when it is not.
• Photographs of students are not free to reuse. They are published here under media releases that cover this website specifically. Reusing them somewhere else is outside what those families agreed to. See the privacy notice.

Some material on this site belongs to other people — partner logos, photographs credited to a publisher, and third-party hardware referenced in the kit documentation. Those stay with their owners.

Building the kits, and safety

The kit and tutorial pages describe electronics work: batteries, wiring, small parts, and tools. They are written for students working with an adult present, and that is how they should be used. Follow the safety notes in the material itself, use the components as described, and supervise younger builders.

We publish this in good faith and we test what we publish, but we cannot see your workspace, your parts, or your substitutions. Deciding whether an activity is right for a particular group of students is the job of the adult running it.

What we do and do not promise

We try to keep this site accurate. Program dates change, partners come and go, and kit revisions supersede one another, so pages can fall out of date between builds. Where a page carries an update date, that is when it was last built, not a guarantee that every fact on it is still current. If something looks wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

This site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that every link will keep working, or that it will suit any particular purpose you have in mind.

Links to other sites

Links that leave this site are marked. Once you follow one, you are on someone else's site under their terms and their privacy policy, and we do not control what they publish or how they behave.

Changes to these terms

If this site starts doing something it does not do today, this page will be updated before that change goes live. The date at the top reflects the most recent build.
