What this site collects

Short version: this website does not collect anything about you. The longer version explains exactly what that means and where the exceptions are.

This website

This is a static website. Every page is a file that was built ahead of time and sent to your browser as-is. In practice that means:

  • No analytics. There is no analytics package on this site. We do not track which pages you visit, how long you stay, or where you came from.
  • No cookies. This site does not set cookies.
  • No advertising or tracking pixels. None, from anyone.
  • No embedded third-party content. No embedded videos, maps, social feeds, or comment widgets that would load code from another company as you read.
  • No forms that post to this site. There is nothing here that submits your details to us.

Our web host keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP addresses, as part of delivering any website. We do not have access to those logs and do not use them.

When you leave this site

Some links go to other organizations, such as registration and application forms hosted on Google Forms, and news coverage on publishers' own websites. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, and their privacy policy applies, not this one. Links that leave the site are marked.

Forms, and who controls them

Eaglets uses Google Forms for registration and officer applications. When you submit one, the information goes to Google and into a response sheet that Eaglets can read. It does not come to this website, which has no way to receive it.

What is collected depends on the form, and each form says so at the top. Registration forms typically ask for a participant's name and grade and a parent or guardian's contact details. Officer applications ask about a student's experience and availability.

Why: to run the program you are signing up for, and to know who is coming, to reach a guardian if something happens on the day, and to prepare the right number of kits.

Who can read it: the Eaglets officer who owns that form, and where a program is hosted by a school or organization, that host's staff. Responses are not shared with anyone else, sold, or used for advertising.

How long it is kept: through the program it relates to and the school year it falls in, after which responses are deleted. If you want to know exactly what is held about your student right now, ask and we will tell you.

Correcting or deleting information

Email eaglets.kits@gmail.com and ask. You can ask us to correct something, to tell you what we hold, or to delete it. You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not affect your student's place in a program.

If a program was hosted by a school or district, they may hold their own registration records under their own policies. We will tell you who to contact.

If you email us

We will have whatever you write, in our email account, for as long as we keep the message. We use it to answer you.

Please do not email us student names, contact details, photographs, or any medical or health information. If your student needs an accommodation to take part in a program, describe the support that would help. You never need to send a diagnosis or medical records.

Students in our programs

Eaglets programs serve students in grades 3 through 8, and most Eaglets members are themselves minors. Where a program is hosted by a school or organization, registration and consent are handled through that host's own process and under their policies. Eaglets does not run its own registration database, and this website is not a student-record system, it holds no information about any participant.

This site is not intended to collect sensitive student information of any kind, and no page here asks for it. If you are ever asked for a medical detail, a diagnosis, or a student's personal contact information by something claiming to be Eaglets, please tell us.

Photographs

Photographs of students are published on this site only where a media release covering public website use has been confirmed by an adult program owner. Where that confirmation does not exist, the photograph is not published, even if we have it.

If you are a parent or guardian and you want a photograph of your child removed from this site, email us and we will take it down. You do not need to explain why.

Changes

If this site starts doing something it does not do today, this page will be updated before that change goes live. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent build.
