Treasurer
Eaglets buys parts, runs programs, and accepts sponsorship. The Treasurer is the person who knows what things actually cost and where the money went.
What you would own
- Maintain the operating budget and keep it current as programs are planned
- Track per-kit cost, including parts, shipping, tax, and replacements
- Reconcile sponsorship income against committed spending
- Prepare the cost figures used in sponsorship materials and grant reporting
- Work with the Hardware and Electronics Officer on purchasing decisions and lead times
What you need
- Careful, consistent record keeping
- Comfort with spreadsheets
- Willingness to ask a vendor or an officer a direct question about a number
Helpful, not required
- Prior experience with a club or team budget
- Familiarity with school district purchasing or reimbursement processes
- Weekly time
- About 2 hours in a normal week
- Events
- Occasional; heavier in the weeks before a camp when purchasing runs
- Training
- Transition sessions with the outgoing officer and the President, plus a walkthrough of the current budget and purchasing records.
