Eaglets is a student-led robotics education program that expands access to hands-on STEAM learning for students in grades 3 through 8 through custom robot kits, camps, curriculum, and community partnerships.
Origin
Where this came from
Eaglets began in 2020 when student robotics members saw a gap between watching a robot and understanding how one works. They began developing a simpler, hands-on platform that younger students could assemble, wire, code, test, and improve.
That project grew into student-led camps, curriculum, outreach, and a continuing effort to make robotics education more accessible. The kit has been through several generations since. Each one was built because the last one taught the team something.

What we hold ourselves to
Student-Led
Students design the kit, create the learning activities, teach the sessions, and run the program, with appropriate adult oversight.
Accessibility
Programs are built to welcome students who are new to robotics, with clear prerequisites, transparent costs, and a real path to request an accommodation.
Community Impact
Eaglets works with schools and community organizations to bring hands-on learning to students where they already are.
Innovation
The team tests its hardware, software, curriculum, and teaching methods, and changes them based on what actually happened in the room.

Design
Students design and revise the physical robot kit.
Curriculum
Students write the coding, electronics, and engineering activities.
Teaching
Students teach younger students at camps and outreach programs.
Operations
Students manage volunteer training, logistics, partnerships, and delivery.
Adults are involved where they should be: supervision, safety, and the things a student cannot legally sign. The engineering and the teaching are not among them.
