Eaglets expects to run Camp Code again across Texas, with the same focus on communities that have the least access. Dates and locations are not set yet, so the interest list is how families hear first.

- Students entering grades 3 through 8. Camps hosted in partner communities are open to students in those communities; the Allen sessions are open to any family who can get there.

- Free at partner sites outside Allen. Allen sessions have carried a $50 enrollment fee, which covers the robot kit and every supply, with waivers available for qualified families.
Eaglets expects to run Camp Code again, across Texas, with the same focus on communities that have the least access to hands-on STEAM. That is the plan the team states to families who write in.
What is not decided: where, and when. Locations and dates have not been finalized, and this page will not guess at them. When they are set, the families on the interest list are the ones who hear first.
What a camp is
Students build a robot from parts: laser-cut chassis, DC motors, a distance sensor, a breadboard, a microcontroller. Then they program it. The sequence matters: nothing is pre-assembled, and no code is written until the student understands what the wire they just plugged in actually does.
By the end, students program the robot to drive a set distance, draw with a marker, and use the distance sensor to decide when to turn inside a maze.
Cost
Camps hosted in partner communities outside Allen are free for students. The sessions at the Allen ISD STEAM Center have carried a $50 enrollment fee, which covers the robot kit the student keeps and every supply used during the camp. Fee waivers are available. Ask, and no documentation of need is requested on the public form.
Joining the list
The interest list is a short form. It is not a registration, it does not hold a place, and it costs nothing. It is simply how the team knows to contact you.

When and where will the next camp be?
Not decided yet. Eaglets expects to run Camp Code again with a continued focus on underserved communities, but locations and dates are not final. Families on the interest list hear as soon as they are.
Does joining the interest list register my child?
No. It puts you on the list to be contacted when registration opens. It does not hold a place and does not cost anything.
Does my child need any experience?
None. Camps start at what electricity is and what a wire does, and reach programming only after the robot is built.
Does my child need a laptop?
No. A laptop is provided during the session.
